Some examples of our work include water management in Australia. Assisting our growers to minimize water usage in the supply chain drives sustainability and business success. Holman Fresh is also working in collaboration with key customers and suppliers to develop improved platforms for farm biodiversity and the reduction of pesticide usage. This process has also resulted in the engineering of a key organic product range, which has provided an expanded offer to our customers while providing a positive impact on our environment.
Our Avocados are green!
In New Zealand our avocado field specialist works with our growers to increase sustainable value by growing healthy trees, applying good orchard management and monitoring skills. Key ‘on orchard’ target areas are using ‘soft sprays’ and producing without copper. We train growers to regularly monitor pests in line with the New Zealand avocado industry’s ‘Avogreen’ guidelines, ensuring responsible and minimal use of sprays.
